  About Me

I am an Interfaith Minister, meditation teacher, music minister and yogi. I teach meditation and spiritual principles as articulated in the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. My perspective is interspiritual with a foundation in the yoga tradition and I am an initiate in the spiritual tradition of Kriya Yoga.  

I offer spiritual guidance to individuals and apply insights gained through years of focused spiritual practice as a monastic. My approach draws upon the wisdom of diverse faith traditions and my teaching incorporates metaphysical interpretation of sacred scripture, devotional practices and radical self-inquiry as doorways to deepened spiritual awareness and union with the One called by many names.

I graduated from the LIA Interfaith Seminary (now Meru Interfaith Seminary) of the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment in San Jose, CA with a Master of Divinity Degree in 2004 and was ordained in 2005. 

A focus of my ministry is supporting individuals who are walking the spiritual path with intention, regardless of their religious or spiritual tradition. I assist individuals in strengthening their connection with the essential Self. Through the practices of prayer, meditation, contemplative study of a spiritual nature and deep listening, I invite seekers into the revelation of this essential Self, which is universal and beyond boundaries of language or religion.

Among my passions is scripture study from a metaphysical viewpoint, teaching journaling practice for spiritual discernment and guiding individuals in the establishment of a committed spiritual practice.

I also offer Music Ministry as a vocalist: offering sacred
music from many faiths, in many styles.  My passion for chanting and devotional music of the mystical traditions brings a depth of expression from the soul that invites a deeply ecstatic experience at retreats, worship services, rituals and blessing ceremonies. As an ordained minister, I officiate at weddings and sacred unions and assist individuals in designing a ceremony that reflects their vision of the sacred. I honor with deep reverence, the unions of all committed couples.

By "interspiritual" is not meant the mixing of the various traditions but the possibility and actuality that we can learn and be nourished from more than our own mystical tradition. The note of interspiritual wisdom suggests that there is an underpinning, universal metaphysics. Traditionally, this is known as the philosophia perennis, – or perennial philosophy, the primordial tradition, the universal metaphysical tradition from which all particular religions are derived. It often been referred to as "the transcendental unity of religions." Interspiritual wisdom is the practical part of the perennial philosophy, the inner, experiential core of it. It is the universal heritage of each one of us, and it becomes accessible to everyone based on our individual generosity to explore and our capacity to grow and be refined through the spiritual insights and practices of these various forms of spirituality: hence, the term "interspiritual wisdom."
